Day 1Welcome to Santa Fe, an enchanting city known for its Native American and Spanish culture, stunning natural landscapes, a thriving arts scene and much more. From the airport in Albuquerque, you’ll be transferred to your fabulous lodgings in Santa Fe. Settle in or head out to explore your surroundings — the choice of fun is all yours. Later, you’ll join your Travel Director and fellow DreamTrippers for a special welcome reception. As you toast to your upcoming adventures, enjoy an inspiring flute music performance by Sky Redhawk, a talented member of the Lakota Native American tribe.
Meals included: Welcome reception.
Day 2After breakfast, take a walking tour in the city’s historic downtown. Your local expert will offer insights as you check out colonial-era and Pueblo-style architecture and attractions, including the New Mexico State Capitol building, Loretto Chapel, various art galleries and more. The rest of the day and evening is at your leisure, so you can continue to explore to your heart’s content!
Meals included: Breakfast.
Day 3Start your day with a dive into culture along Canyon Road, a lively arts area that’s home to more than 100 galleries, boutiques and restaurants. Next, you’re off to Taos. Marvel at views of Rio Grande Gorge and Sangre de Cristo Mountains along the way to Taos Pueblo, a UNESCO World Heritage site that’s been continuously inhabited for over 1,000 years! A local specialist, resident and tribe member will share their knowledge about the Pueblo community and complex adobe structures. After exploring the plaza and galleries of iconic downtown Taos, tour El Santuario de Chimayo, a shrine and pilgrimage site where believers seek healing from the “holy dirt” found there — you can even take a scoop of this red sandstone home to remember your travels. End your tour at Ortega’s Weaving Shop for a chance to observe a one-of-a-kind traditional weaving technique — and maybe purchase a souvenir. Back in Santa Fe, ask your Travel Director for recommendations for one of the many nearby restaurants offering traditional dishes that highlight chiles, corn and beans.
Meals included: Breakfast.
Day 4In the morning, you’ll head south of the city along Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway, a path packed with culture and history, to the Allan Houser Sculpture Park and Gallery. Enjoy an exclusive tour of this renowned Native American artist’s massive sculptures and evocative paintings. Then, get ready to step back in time at Bandelier National Monument, an ancestral Pueblo settlement (and still-active archaeological site). An easy guided walk leads you into the gorge, through the canyon and past walls of sandstone — if you wish, you can even climb the wooden stairs to see ceremonial rooms, fire markings and handprints in well-preserved cliff dwellings that date from 1,000 years ago. End your day with an unforgettable “Be My Guest” farewell dinner hosted by Stephanie Ramirez at her El Flamenco Spanish Cabaret. You’ll enjoy a taste of Spain with tapas, an authentic main course, Spanish wine and dessert followed by a high energy flamenco performance by world-renowned dancers.
Meals included: Breakfast; farewell dinner.
Day 5As your journey comes to an end, enjoy one last breakfast with your fellow DreamTrippers before bidding farewell to Santa Fe. Check out of the hotel and transfer to the Albuquerque airport.
